Dr.
Cava received his MD in 1992 from the Rush Medical
College in Chicago and completed his residency at the
University of Illinois Hospital in 1998. He also
completed his fellowship from the Emory University
School of Medicine in Atlanta.
His achievements in certifications include American
Board of Surgery and Diplomat of the American Board of
Surgery. He has also received top awards and honors,
including Best Surgery Resident Teaching Award, George
State Committee on Trauma Resident Competition and
Medical Student Mentor.
Dr. Cava has co-authored impressive articles that have
been featured in publications such as Circulation,
Surgical Forum, Surgery, Archives of Surgery, Annals of
Vascular Surgery and Journal of Trauma. He is
also an avid speaker for lectures and presentations
throughout the northeast and south.
Married with two children, his personal interests
include cooking and an annual hunting trips to Montana.
