Dr.
Sider received his MD degree from the University of
Virginia in 1983. He did his general surgery residency
at the University of Illinois and Cook County Hospitals
in Chicago, where he was a Chief Resident from
1987-1988. He is certified by the American Board of
Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery
and is a member of the American Society of General
Surgeons and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Sider has served as Chief of Staff, Medical Advisor
for Nutrition Support, Chief of General Surgery,
Chairman of Surgical Care Evaluation Committee,
and Secretary-Treasurer of the Florida Surgical Society.
Dr. Sider joined Indiana Surgical Specialists after
spending over fifteen years in Florida, where he was in
a multi-specialty clinic and in private practice. He
practices in Whitley and Huntington Counties, bringing
ISS closer to the members of these communities. Dr.
Sider has an interest in hernia surgery,
gastrointestinal surgery, laparoscopic surgery and
thyroid/parathyroid surgery. Dr. Sider also does
gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr. Sider and his wife Kathy have 2 wonderful daughters
who are the center of his attention when he is not
working. Dr. Sider enjoys participating with his girls
when they compete in their sports, especially swimming
and soccer. Dr. Sider also enjoys golfing and biking
when he gets the chance. Dr. Sider and his family look
forward to becoming active members of the community and
local organizations. |
